This is going to be a sweet ass movie. I've heard that it's all going to be filmed with a green screen. The visuals so far look pretty damn amazing. Can't wait to see it. I thought Sin City was a very entertaining movie. I loved the whole comic book feel to it and am looking forward to this release. I didn't know who Frank Miller was before but after seeing SC I've been gobbling up the graphic novels. I will have this graphic novel a look before I see the movie as well.

Speaking of Apocalypto, I saw it and it was ok. It was interesting to see the Mayan civilization on the big screen but it seemed like Mel Gibson was just trying to go for shock effect as it showed numerous ways in which someone could die and quite graphically at that. But overall it wasn't too bad. It was worth the price of admission I guess.

Saw it on IMAX tonight. I loved it. I knew what I was going in to, and I got exactly that. If you liked Sin City or Gladiator, this is kind of a mash-up of the two (over-simplified, but there you go). It was a little light on plot for a full movie, and they had to add a small plotline in order to flesh things out, but I felt like it worked well. The action (which is what you're there for!) was jaw-dropping, the choreography was terrific, and the visuals were awesome. They're not perfect in a couple spots, but I thought it looked great, and we were pretty close on a HUGE IMAX screen.

Anyway, I loved it.

i just got back from it and i was pretty disapointed. The action scenes were cool yes, But i didnt expect the ineptitude of the rest of the movie. It was alright but i have no desire to ever see it again.

Care to elaborate on the "ineptitude" at all because... I'm not sure we saw the same film.

I work at the movie theater and well, from quite a lot of people that I have seen walk out i've asked how the movie was/is going.  I've only had a select few say "its alright."  Mostly all good things.

It's amazing how many people sneak into the theater as well.  Sunday, I didn't have anyone to spare to sit and check the customers tickets as they walked in, much less have someone patroling the inside (to make sure nobody was opening the exit door and letting others in).  There were 53 seats left in the theater on a Sunday night (mind you, thats amazing for a Sunday night).  I walked in just as the movie had started to catch a group that we were going to give a refund to, because they couldn't find a place to sit with 4 seats in a row.  Somehow, by the time I got into the theater, they had found a spot.  I walked around during the previews and counted about 14 (give or take a few) seats left.

I can't wait to see this myself...

I also finally saw it.  My favorite part has to be when they "fight in the shade."  I agree with you... It blew me away, as well.

Just picked this up on dvd- it's a stellar transfer and has a ton of extras. The BD and HD versions are supposed to be excellent as well.

Clear screen? Da hell?

Anyway, the only place to legally download it would be Netflix or on an Xbox 360. Anything else would be illegal and against forum rules.
