So what did you all think of this movie?

From what I remember of the trailers back when it was still on the big screen, it actually wasn't what I thought. Still good, no doubt, but it took a while to get the action up.

Your thoughts?

The best way i can summarize this film is like a snowball.....

It starts off, fairly slow, gradually picks up pace and then rumbles into a massive gun (Hollywood style) fight at the end. it slightly reminded me of the gun fight in the street in "Clear and present Danger". but the link is tenuous to say the least!

It does however also explain the cycle of historical violence that begrudges the world, and at this moment in time the Middle East and Africa in particular.

Unrealistic, but the firefight at the end was decent.  except for the M4 with no rear sight.

Theres no way someone with multiple Isreali stamps would be allowed into Saudi Arabia.  No way the FBI would be allowed either.  The bombing of the Khobar towers did'nt see any FBI agents IRL.

I also thought the movie tried to hard to generate moral relativism.  The "Kill em all" line at the end is not comparable as the FBI's lead investigator was referring to the Terrorists responsible.  The boy at the end meant everyone who was'nt a "good" muslim.

unrealistic? really granted the whole chasing abu hamsa through a building is unrealistic but the prolonging thought in my mind is that it was alot like my experience in Iraq.

I didn't really have an interest in seeing this movie. Then I read this:

the prolonging thought in my mind is that it was alot like my experience in Iraq.

It's now on my short list.  Cheers

it really was, the way the culture treated women was verry close (almost an animosity fueled by fear).
